About Stackness

Stackness is a place for people in IT - engineers, designers, data folks, DevOps, PMs, QA, and everyone in between - to show the tools they actually use, discover what others work with, and discuss their moves, the techniques and workflows behind how they use those tools. You assemble your stack, keep it current, and follow people whose taste in tooling you trust.

Public stacks and moves are readable by anyone; an account lets you publish your own, react, comment, and follow. Optional supporter and team subscriptions fund the service and add extra features - there is no advertising and no sale of user data.

Stackness is built and operated by its founder, Sergei Gordeichuk, an independent software developer based in Switzerland. There is no company, no team, and no outside funding behind it - just one developer running a service he wanted to exist. You can find him on his Stackness profile and on GitHub.

The numbers on Stackness come from two places. Tool usage counts and trends come from the stacks and moves people keep here. The historical charts reach further back with public datasets, which are kept apart from platform activity, and the Data sources page names every one of them and the credit each is owed.
