Community guidelines

• Harassment and hate: personal attacks, threats, slurs, or content demeaning people for who they are.
• Doxxing: publishing someone's private information - address, phone number, non-public email - without their consent.
• Illegal content: anything unlawful under Swiss or EU law, including sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance, reported to authorities).
• Malware and exploits: distributing malicious code, or promoting tools whose primary purpose is to cause harm.
• Spam and manipulation: repetitive promotional posting, fake engagement, vote manipulation, or bot-driven content.
• Impersonation: pretending to be another person, project, or company.
• Infringing content: content that violates someone else's copyright or trademarks - see the Copyright & takedown page.
• Adult content: Stackness is about developer tooling; sexually explicit or gratuitously violent material does not belong here.

Recommend tools because you use and like them. If you are affiliated with a tool you are promoting - you built it, work for the vendor, or are paid to promote it - say so plainly. Undisclosed advertising is treated as spam.

Every stack tool, move, and profile has a Report action in its overflow menu, and every comment has a flag icon. Use them - reports are the main way rule-breaking content reaches moderation. Pick the reason that fits best and add context if the form allows it. You can also report anything by email to legal@stackness.dev.

Reported content goes into a moderation queue and is reviewed by an admin; automated filtering may additionally flag obvious abuse. Depending on severity and history, enforcement ranges from removing the content, to a warning, to restricting features, to suspending or permanently banning the account. Severe cases (threats, illegal content) skip the ladder.

If you believe a decision was wrong, reply to the notification or write to legal@stackness.dev and it will be reviewed.

As the community grows the guidelines will be refined; the date at the top shows the latest revision. The Terms of Service make these guidelines binding.
