About Aqua
Aqua is a declarative CLI version manager written in Go that helps developers manage and install command-line tools across projects and teams. It supports lazy installation, meaning tools are automatically installed when first executed, and allows different tool versions to be used in different projects with seamless switching between them. The tool integrates with Renovate for automated updates and provides interactive search functionality.
Developed by aquaproj, Aqua is designed to work as a single binary with no external dependencies, running on Windows, macOS, and Linux. It can be used for both local development and continuous integration environments. The tool includes security features such as checksum verification, policy-as-code support, and integration with GitHub Actions and CircleCI for managing installations in CI pipelines.
