About Calyx

Calyx is a native macOS terminal application built on Ghostty that enables developers to run and manage multiple coding agents simultaneously. It allows users to operate different AI coding assistants side by side while monitoring their status and interactions in a unified interface. The tool provides features for managing permission prompts, tracking delegated work across subagents, reviewing code diffs, and maintaining terminal sessions that persist across application restarts.

Developed by yuuichieguchi, Calyx is written in Swift and distributed under the MIT license. The application requires macOS with Apple Silicon and is available for download. It integrates with various coding agents and exposes terminal capabilities through MCP, allowing agents to read panes, commands, and output directly rather than relying on time-based polling.
