About Cocogitto

Cocogitto is a command-line toolbox for working with conventional commits. Developers use it to create commit messages that follow the conventional commits specification, search and filter their git history by commit metadata like scope and type, automatically bump project versions according to semantic versioning, and generate changelogs from commit history. The tool supports different release workflows through customizable release profiles for handling regular releases, prereleases, and hotfixes. It can be integrated into continuous integration systems to enforce conventional commit compliance on incoming commits and manage releases from automated pipelines.

Cocogitto is developed by cocogitto and released under the MIT license. Written in Rust, it is distributed as a standalone binary with libgit2 as its only system dependency. The tool is available through multiple package managers including Cargo, Homebrew, and package repositories for various Linux distributions.
