About CocoIndex
CocoIndex is an incremental indexing framework built with a Rust core that maintains vector and graph indexes in sync with changing data sources. Developers use it to keep codebases, documentation, and knowledge continuously indexed for AI agents, enabling fresh context without reprocessing entire datasets. The framework handles incremental updates efficiently, reindexing only the delta when source data changes, and provides semantic search and code analysis capabilities such as call graphs and symbol tables. It includes a Python API for integration into agent workflows.
CocoIndex is developed by cocoindex-io and released under the Apache 2.0 license. The framework is designed for data engineering tasks in AI workloads, supporting use cases ranging from real-time codebase indexing to meeting note knowledge graphs and multi-repository summaries.

- Agent context compression tools: Headroom, RTK, Engram, Attic and how each one measured its saving
Seven tools sit between a coding agent and the model as of October 2026. Every headline saving is self-measured, and RTK is the safest place to start.
