About Codex-X

Codex-X is a desktop management tool for OpenAI Codex that provides visual organization of accounts, models, prompts, and sessions across macOS, Windows, and Linux. It enables switching between official accounts and third-party models with provider presets, syncing sessions, managing skills and MCP extensions, and viewing account quotas and token usage trends. The tool includes a TOML configuration editor, prompt templates, project-based session organization, and automatic backup of settings.

Developed by yynxxxxx, Codex-X is free and open source under the MIT license. It runs locally on the user's computer, storing configuration and session data without requiring a separate account. The tool integrates with existing Codex desktop and CLI installations, allowing users to import configurations from other sources and manage their workflow through a unified interface while leaving model requests to be processed by the user's chosen service provider.
