About CoffeeScript
CoffeeScript is a programming language that compiles into JavaScript, offering a more concise syntax while maintaining a one-to-one correspondence with the output code. Developers use it to write JavaScript with less verbosity, and the compiled output is readable and performs comparably to handwritten JavaScript. Any existing JavaScript library can be used seamlessly from CoffeeScript and vice versa. The language was developed by Jeremy Ashkenas and is distributed under the MIT License.
CoffeeScript runs on cross-platform systems and supports various modern JavaScript features through its compiler. It can be installed locally for individual projects or globally to execute CoffeeScript files from anywhere. The language includes comprehensive features such as functions, array comprehensions, lexical scoping, destructuring, and classes. The compiled code contains no runtime interpretation, making it directly compatible with standard JavaScript environments.
