About Coucou
Coucou is a companion tool for macOS, Windows, Linux, iPhone, and Android that monitors AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Gemini CLI. It displays alerts in the Mac notch or iPhone Lock Screen, allowing developers to approve or deny requests from these agents without interrupting their workflow. The tool also includes dictation capabilities, call transcription, and integration with services like GitHub, Stripe, and Vercel.
Coucou is developed by Louis-CFM and released under the MIT license. The application is free and open source, with optional sponsorship available to support ongoing development. It runs offline where possible, such as with speech recognition, and routes sensitive data like API keys through the user's own iCloud account rather than through Coucou servers.

- OSC 7501 program status: how your terminal knows an agent is waiting on you, and what to wire up today
OSC 7501 lets a program tell the terminal it is working, blocked, done or failed. Claude Code, Pi and Crush send it; few terminals show it yet.
