About DeepSeek Search and Fetch API
DeepSeek Search and Fetch API provides two endpoints that enable agents and retrieval-augmented generation applications to access current web content. The Search API locates web pages matching a query and returns structured results powered by an in-house search engine. The Fetch API retrieves a single web page and converts its content to Markdown format. Both endpoints operate as raw JSON APIs using the same authentication as the main DeepSeek API.
Developers integrate these tools through standard HTTP requests to the DeepSeek platform. The Search API accepts parameters to control result count and optionally includes page content in responses. The Fetch API retrieves full page content for specified URLs. Query syntax operators enable developers to refine searches. These APIs are developed by deepseek-ai and released under the CC0 1.0 license. Billing occurs per successful request made to either endpoint.
