About diri
Diri is a macOS workspace for running multiple coding agents simultaneously and managing their output in a single interface. Developers use it to coordinate different AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Gemini, each operating in its own terminal session. Agents can spawn other agents to work in parallel, and the workspace provides notifications when user input is needed. Diri maintains separate Git worktrees and branches for each agent to prevent conflicts during concurrent work, and includes features for reviewing diffs, inspecting changes, and committing work directly from agent sessions.
Developed by cristicretu, Diri is free and open-source software distributed under the AGPL 3.0 license. It is written in Rust and runs on macOS 15 and later, with a beta version available for Linux. Sessions continue running even after closing the application, allowing idle agents to hibernate. Additional features include the ability to run sessions remotely on SSH hosts, access conversation history, and manage usage limits across multiple sessions.

- OSC 7501 program status: how your terminal knows an agent is waiting on you, and what to wire up today
OSC 7501 lets a program tell the terminal it is working, blocked, done or failed. Claude Code, Pi and Crush send it; few terminals show it yet.
