About dnsx

dnsx is a fast DNS toolkit that lets developers run multiple DNS queries through the command line. It supports various DNS record types including A, AAAA, CNAME, PTR, NS, MX, TXT, SRV, and SOA records, along with DNS resolution and brute-force capabilities. The tool accepts custom resolvers in multiple formats covering TCP, UDP, DNS-over-HTTPS, and DNS-over-TLS protocols. It includes automatic wildcard handling and works with standard input and output streams for integration into workflows.

The tool is developed by projectdiscovery and written in Go. It is released under the MIT license as open source software. The toolkit is designed to handle wildcard filtering similar to other specialized DNS tools and provides features for DNS reconnaissance and enumeration tasks through a straightforward command-line interface.
