About Flask

Flask is a lightweight framework for building web applications in Python. It provides a micro framework approach that prioritizes simplicity and ease of use while supporting scaling to complex applications. Developers use Flask to create web applications with built-in features for routing, templating, and request handling, along with support for extensions that add additional functionality. Flask is developed by Armin Ronacher and is released under the 3-clause BSD License.

Flask depends on several key libraries: Werkzeug for WSGI functionality, Jinja for template rendering, and Click for command-line interfaces. The framework runs cross-platform and offers documentation covering installation, quickstart guides, tutorials, and detailed API reference. Configuration uses sensible defaults with customization through Python files, data files, or environment variables, allowing developers to adapt Flask to different development and production workflows.
