About Garden
Garden is a DevOps automation tool for developing and testing Kubernetes applications. Developers use it to set up production-like environments for development, testing, and continuous integration on demand. The tool allows teams to apply the same configuration and workflows across every stage of software delivery, from local development through production deployment. Garden includes smart result caching to accelerate builds and test runs, reducing iteration time for developers working with Kubernetes. The tool supports container building, deployment configuration, testing workflows, and code synchronization across environments.
Garden is developed by garden-io and released under the MPL 2.0 license. It is written in TypeScript and provides integration with Kubernetes clusters, container builders, and CI systems. The tool offers features including remote container building, team caching, variables and templating, custom commands, and matrix templates for managing complex deployments and testing scenarios.
