About GitAhead
GitAhead is a graphical Git client for Windows, Linux and macOS that helps developers explore and understand their repository history. The tool provides a fast native interface designed to make it easier to work with the historical information stored in Git, which developers can use to make more informed decisions about their codebase. The interface is built to address the difficulty of exploring Git history with command-line tools alone.
GitAhead was developed by gitahead and is licensed under the MIT license, making it free and open source software. The project is no longer under active development, though low-level maintenance and bug fix releases continue as needed. The tool is available for download on Windows, Linux and macOS platforms without cost.
