About Gitea
Gitea is a self-hosted Git platform that provides an all-in-one development service for teams and individual developers. It includes Git repository hosting, code review tools, team collaboration features, package registry support for over 20 package types, and an integrated continuous integration and continuous deployment system called Gitea Actions. The platform can be deployed in various environments and offers both free open-source and paid enterprise options.
Developed by go-gitea and written in Go, Gitea is distributed under the MIT license. It enables developers to manage repositories, plan work through issue tracking and kanban boards, and automate workflows using a YAML format compatible with existing GitHub Actions plugins. The platform supports multiple deployment models, including a managed cloud offering and self-hosted enterprise deployments with additional features like single sign-on and audit logging.
