About Godot Engine
Godot Engine is an open-source game engine for developing 2D and 3D games and interactive applications across multiple platforms. It provides a comprehensive set of built-in tools designed to let developers focus on creating games rather than building foundational systems from scratch. The engine features a node and scene system for flexibility, support for multiple programming languages including GDScript, C#, and C++, and dedicated rendering engines optimized for both 2D and 3D projects. It also includes built-in support for extended reality development.
Godot Engine is developed by Juan Linietsky and Rémi Verschelde and is distributed under the MIT License. The engine supports deployment across numerous platforms including Windows, macOS, Android, HTML5, WebAssembly, and other systems. As a truly open-source project, development is community-driven, allowing contributors to benefit equally from improvements made by others.
