About Graphviz

Graphviz is open source software for visualizing graphs and networks. It represents structural information as diagrams of abstract graphs, making it useful for applications in networking, bioinformatics, software engineering, database design, web design, machine learning, and technical interfaces. Developers use the DOT language to describe graph structures, which Graphviz then renders into visual diagrams. The software provides multiple layout engines and supports numerous output formats including SVG, PDF, PNG, and many others. It also includes command-line tools and utilities for graph manipulation and analysis.

Graphviz was developed by AT&T Labs and is released under the Eclipse Public License 1.0. The software is written in C and runs on Linux. It includes comprehensive documentation, a community forum for discussions, and issue tracking for bug reports.
