About jless

jless is a command-line JSON viewer for reading, exploring and searching through JSON data. The tool pretty prints JSON with syntax highlighting and provides an interactive interface for navigating structures. Users can expand and collapse objects and arrays to understand both high-level and detailed structure of JSON documents. The tool includes a suite of vim-inspired commands for efficient navigation and supports full text search using regular expressions, allowing developers to quickly locate data within string values or jump between values with matching object keys. Developers use jless when working with external APIs or debugging request payloads. The tool was developed by PaulJuliusMartinez and is written in Rust. It is licensed under the MIT license and can be installed on macOS, Linux, FreeBSD and other Unix-like systems through various package managers or built from source.
