About JReleaser
JReleaser is a tool for automating the release process of software projects. It handles versioning, packaging, publishing, and announcement of releases across multiple platforms and package managers. The tool supports projects written in Java, Go, Node, Rust, Zig, Swift, Perl, Python, C/C++, C#, Elixir, Haskell, Ruby, Crystal, and other languages. Developers can configure JReleaser using YAML, TOML, JSON, or as a Maven, Gradle, or Ant plugin, and execute releases through a command-line interface, Maven, Gradle, Ant, JBang, or Docker.
JReleaser automates tasks such as generating changelogs from commits, tagging releases in Git services like GitHub, GitLab, and Gitea, calculating checksums and creating PGP signatures, and packaging applications for distribution through Homebrew, Snapcraft, Scoop, Chocolatey, and other package managers. It can also announce releases via services like Mastodon, Sdkman, and Zulip. The project is developed by jreleaser and is licensed under Apache 2.0.
