About Open Knowledge
Open Knowledge is a markdown-based editor and knowledge management system designed for both human users and AI agents. It provides a rich text editing experience with components like callouts, accordions, tabs, diagrams, and embedded media, while maintaining markdown as the underlying format. The tool enables developers to create and organize knowledge bases, LLM wikis, and knowledge repositories that can be accessed and modified by AI agents through built-in integrations.
Developed by inkeep, Open Knowledge is written in TypeScript and released under the GPL 3.0 license. The platform is built with agent collaboration in mind, featuring native support for model context protocol integration and agent skills that allow AI systems to navigate, edit, and contribute to knowledge bases.
