About JetBrains Rider
Rider is a cross-platform integrated development environment for building .NET and game development projects. Developers use it to work with the entire .NET technology stack, including ASP.NET, MAUI, and Blazor applications, as well as games built with Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot. The IDE runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. It provides code analysis, debugging tools, unit testing capabilities, and NuGet package management. The interface includes AI assistance with support for multiple AI models and agents.
Rider is developed by JetBrains and is available under a proprietary license. A free version is offered for non-commercial use, with paid plans available for commercial development. The IDE is designed for performance, using a separate process for resource-intensive code analysis to maintain UI responsiveness.
