About scrcpy
Scrcpy is a tool that mirrors and controls Android devices on a desktop computer using either USB or TCP/IP connections. It displays the device screen and allows developers to interact with it via keyboard and mouse input from the desktop. The application captures and streams the Android device display to a desktop window, making it useful for testing, demonstration, and development workflows that require viewing and controlling a mobile device from a computer.
Scrcpy is developed by Genymobile SAS and is written in C. It is distributed under the Apache Software License 2.0, making it open source and freely available for use and modification. The tool operates on Windows and macOS platforms, enabling developers across different desktop environments to interact with Android devices during development and testing.
