About Solhint

Solhint is a linting utility for Solidity smart contract code. It analyzes Solidity source files to identify both security issues and style guide violations, helping developers maintain code quality in their smart contracts. The tool provides multiple output formats for reports and supports configuration files to customize linting rules per project. It can automatically fix certain identified problems and includes a caching feature to lint only files that have changed since the last run.

Solhint was developed by Protofire and is released under the MIT license. It is written in JavaScript and can be installed via npm for command-line use. The project is open-source and includes a set of recommended rules enabled by default, though developers can customize which linting rules apply to their codebase through configuration files.
