About Sponge
Sponge is a low-code Go framework for building backend services that emphasizes code generation and modular architecture. Developers use it to automatically generate code for RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and hybrid HTTP+gRPC applications by parsing SQL, Protobuf, and JSON files. The framework reduces repetitive boilerplate and enforces standardized project structures aligned with Go best practices. It comes with pre-integrated components such as Gin, gRPC, GORM, MongoDB, Redis, and JWT, and supports multiple databases including MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and SQLite.
Sponge includes a graphical interface for code generation and integrates AI assistants like DeepSeek, ChatGPT, and Gemini to help automatically generate business logic code and boost development efficiency. It supports custom templates for extending functionality and includes built-in microservice templates for decomposing monolithic applications. The framework is developed by go-dev-frame and is licensed under the MIT license.
