About Stirling PDF
Stirling PDF is a free, open-source PDF editor designed to run on any infrastructure, allowing users to edit, read, and process PDF files locally on their own machines or servers. The application provides tools for reading, editing, and batch processing PDFs, along with features like optical character recognition, redaction, classification, and validation. Developers can integrate Stirling PDF into their workflows through APIs or connect it to existing tools via available connectors.
The tool is developed by Stirling-Tools and built with TypeScript. As an open-source application, the source code is publicly available for inspection and verification, supporting self-hosted deployments across different infrastructure setups. Stirling PDF can be containerized with Docker and is designed to handle workflows ranging from single-document editing to large-scale batch processing of thousands of PDFs simultaneously.
