About SwiftVM
SwiftVM is a native macOS application that enables developers to run virtual machines for macOS, Linux, and Windows 11 on Arm-based systems. It provides a lightweight alternative for virtualization, offering features such as automatic guest setup, snapshots and duplication, suspend and resume functionality, shared folders, clipboard integration, and command-line management. The tool integrates with the macOS menu bar for convenient access.
SwiftVM is developed by swiftvm-app and runs without requiring root privileges, using Apple's Virtualization framework for macOS and Linux guests, with QEMU for Windows support. Virtual machines are stored as individual folders with all settings, disks, firmware, and snapshots contained in a single package. The application is free and open source, written in Swift and released under the Apache 2.0 license.
