About Tile38
Tile38 is a geospatial database engine that handles real-time location data and geofencing operations. Developers use it to build location-based applications, monitoring data points and delivering geofence notifications. The tool provides a spatial indexing engine that supports various object types including latitude-longitude points, bounding boxes, tiles, geohashes, and GeoJSON. It offers operations like Intersects, Within, Nearby, and both static and roaming geofencing.
Tile38 can send geospatial event notifications through webhooks and event queues for applications that require real-time updates. The database is developed by tidwall and released under the MIT license. It is open source software, allowing developers to access and modify the source code freely. The tool is written in Go and includes built-in integrations with popular external services for event handling.
