About tuios
tuios is a terminal window manager and multiplexer designed for developers working with coding agents. It provides tiling panes across workspaces, persistent sessions that survive detaching and terminal restarts, and a unified inbox for tracking agent requests and status. The tool detects and monitors coding agents in panes, displaying their current state, and supports both tiling and floating window layouts. Sessions can be accessed across machines via SSH, and the application includes features like a command palette, vim-style copy mode, kitty graphics support, and scriptable control via JSON protocols.
Developed by Gaurav-Gosain, tuios is written in Go and released under the MIT license. The tool is available through multiple package managers including Homebrew, AUR, and Nix, with no commercial pricing component.

- OSC 7501 program status: how your terminal knows an agent is waiting on you, and what to wire up today
OSC 7501 lets a program tell the terminal it is working, blocked, done or failed. Claude Code, Pi and Crush send it; few terminals show it yet.
