About Vimium

Vimium is a browser extension that brings Vim editor keyboard shortcuts to web browsing. It allows developers to navigate pages, click links, and control browser tabs entirely through the keyboard without touching the mouse. The extension provides a highlighting method to identify and select links, customizable keyboard shortcuts, and an in-page help dialog showing personalized keybindings. Users can scroll, open URLs from the clipboard, search through open tabs, manage browser history, and perform various tab operations using Vim-style commands.

Vimium was developed by philc and is released under the MIT License. The extension is available for multiple browsers including Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. It combines navigation commands like scrolling and link selection with tab management features and search functionality, all accessible through keyboard-only interaction.
