About Voiden
Voiden is an API design, testing, and documentation tool that uses Markdown as its native format and integrates with Git workflows. Developers use it to compose API requests with reusable blocks, write executable documentation, and manage API specifications alongside their code in version control. The tool stores everything in plain text files that can be committed to Git, eliminating lock-in and enabling diffing and branching of API work.
Voiden is developed by VoidenHQ and runs offline-first without requiring cloud accounts or external services. The tool is built on TypeScript and licensed under Apache 2.0. It includes a command-line runner for executing API tests in CI/CD pipelines and supports exposing API requests as tools for AI agents through its MCP integration. The software is open source and available for download across multiple platforms.
