Earn it, then play: achievements and three secret games

Stackness is a serious place for serious tools. Mostly. As of today it also has 17 achievements, a daily streak and three games locked behind them.

Press start

Good news: you already have one. Signing up earns "It's dangerous to go alone", which was always true. Finish the first-run tour and you are "Ready player one". Share a public move and you know kung fu. Write enough comments and you earn "Well, actually", the way every good thread begins.

Most achievements come in bronze, silver and gold, and they all live on your achievements page. One of them is secret. If you grew up holding a game controller, your thumbs have a head start.

Groundhog Day

That is the streak. Visit on days in a row and medals land at 7, 30 and 90 days. Skip a day and it forgives you, once in any seven. Bill Murray never got a day off.

Three games, zero spoilers

At 3 achievements the first game opens. At 5, the second. At 10, the third. Until then each one is a "???" card on the games hub, and I intend to keep it that way.

Three hints, no more: they are pixel art, they fit in your pocket, and the server checks every run, so a high score takes more than one curl.

Been here a while? Your history counts, so a game might already be waiting for you.

Continue?

There is even an achievement for playing them: "I'm here just for games". Found a bug or a level that feels unfair? Every game has its own comment thread. Let the next player find out for themselves.

What's in your stack?

Stackness is where developers show the tools they build with and how they use them. Make yours in a couple of minutes and see who works the way you do.
