About Warp
Warp is a modern terminal designed for working with AI agents and automated development workflows. Developers use it as part of an agentic development environment that integrates terminal access with AI-powered command suggestions and agent interactions. The tool runs on Linux and macOS. Warp is developed by warpdotdev and released under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3.0 or later. The project is written in Rust.
Beyond the terminal interface, Warp provides infrastructure for building and managing agents across the software development lifecycle. It offers features for defining software factories as code, measuring performance, and enabling self-improvement loops. The platform targets teams looking to automate various development tasks, from code review and bug investigation to incident response and refactoring workflows.
